and together with Zehith (Noah) also a newbie event for those who are new to VRC and the
mondogroup. I also sometimes co-host other events if needed.

I got a bubbly personality and try to make everyone laugh by mostly making fun of myself.
I love to listen to all kinds of music while going adventuring in VRC, trying to come up
with storys that would maybe cool for potential youtubemovies.

I also try to find new gaming worlds because I like to do stuff. Sitting and talking is neat

My timezone is GMT+14 which lets me be pretty active on both the EU and NA side of things. Trying to reach me but I'm not online? Don't be afraid to poke me through discord and I'll respond when I can. 
My specialty is napping but I also cover some of the bigger events like the big EU meetup which you should totally come to. If I'm not hosting, chances are I'm attending some kind of event or activity.

==What is it.==
Over the winter holidays everyone seems to get busier as the end of the year approaches. Shops are more crowded, people are trying to buy all the things. The MondoCat twice a week cat naps are a way to slow down, relax and recharge yourselves so as not to feel run down and overworked. The events will take place at one location per event but the location can vary throughout the holidays and suggestions for worlds are always welcome.

As this will be a laid back event, I kindly ask that we all use our indoor voices and refrain from unloading any weaponry or using loud avatar effects. Please also keep subjects discussed low-key and peaceful. This is not an event to unload your trauma or get into a heated discussion.

==Tips for falling asleep in VRChat==
Feel free to contribute any addition tips/ideas. These are just basic tips for now but in the future as more events take place, more tips will hopefully start appearing for anyone new to sleeping in VR.

===For Everyone===
*Have a comfy pillow to rest both your head and the headset itself on, anything that is easy to nestle into. A large, firm or V shaped pillow is recommended but for those that have pillows to spare, building up a pillow cocoon to keep you comfy and still is an alternative option.

===For Quest Users===
*In the quick setting on the Quest there is an option to enable night time mode which makes the screens more sleep friendly by reducing certain lights.
*As with every event, charging your gear beforehand is important. Since you will be relatively still during a nap you do have the option of boosting your battery life by plugging the quest into a wall socket or power bank.
*Setting your status on the headset to "Do not disturb" should prevent a rude awakening from a unexpected popup
*Using the recently implemented native hand tracking for VRC helps with the immersion and allows you to forget about the technology and just enjoy laying/sitting down for a rest

===For PCVR Users===
*For the Vive/Tundra trackers to work, they need to be able to see your lighthouses so cannot be covered by any kind of blanket or fabric. SlimeVR or any other motion based tracking will continue to work as expected.
*FBT users, if you're experiencing jumping due to loosing tracking with the headset laying down, try switching to a different lock type in the settings (Hips, Head, Both).
*Dim your headset screen to reduce the strain on your eyes. While not always available, some worlds have settings to change the lighting and environment to make it more sleep friendly.
*OVR Tookit has a low battery alarm that should be turned off to prevent a rude awakening from a unexpected popup. (Open the settings by clicking the cog button. Click "Global Settings". Go to the very last option, and then click Volume. Slide "Low Battery Alarm" to the left for a quieter low battery alarm)

===For Desktop Users===
*You are brave and respected.

Over the winter holidays everyone seems to get busier as the end of the year approaches. Shops are more crowded, people are trying to buy all the things. The MondoCat twice a week cat naps are a way to slow down, relax and recharge yourselves so as not to feel run down and overworked. The events will take place at one location per event but the location can vary throughout the holidays and suggestions for worlds are always welcome.

==Tips for falling asleep in VR==
Feel free to contribute any addition tips/ideas. These are just basic tips for now but in the future as more events take place, more tips will hopefully start appearing for anyone new to sleeping in VR.

===For Everyone===
*Have a comfy pillow to rest both your head and the headset itself on, anything that is easy to nestle into. A large, firm or V shaped pillow is recommended but for those that have pillows to spare, building up a pillow cocoon to keep you comfy and still is an alternative option.

===For Quest Users===
*In the quick setting on the Quest there is an option to enable night time mode which makes the screens more sleep friendly by reducing certain lights.
*As with every event, charging your gear beforehand is important. Since you will be relatively still during a nap you do have the option of boosting your battery life by plugging the quest into a wall socket or power bank.

Every alternating week we boot up tabletop, jump into VC and play boargames (except Monopoly, no one must play Monopoly). As the weeks go on and participants are getting more comfortable, the games will get more complex.

==Ziggie's Drinking Celebrations==
For all you adults we have our weekly drinking night were we celebrate birthdays, holidays and anything we feel like. Nothing to celebrate this week, then we celebrate being half way to the weekend. Drinking alcohol is not a requirement but as these events usually involve drinking games have your water at the ready.

The MondoCat twice a week cat naps are a way to slow down, relax and recharge yourselves so as not to feel run down and overworked. The events will take place at one location per event but the location can vary throughout the holidays and suggestions for worlds are always welcome.
