OVR Advanced settings is a program that lets you do MORE FUN COOL STUFF! Read ahead for more infos. OVR Advanced Settings button within Steam Overlay This is the back button that you must hit. Activate settings for Index (For example_ Installing OVR Advanced Settings Step 1: Download OVR Advanced Settings in Steam. Step 2: Launch OVR Advanced Settings AND whatever game it is you want to play. (Please note that you will not see OVR Advanced Settings open.) Step 3: An OVR Advanced Settings button will appear within Steam Settings. (See image on the right) PlaySpace Mover Playspace mover is a way of "Faking" your current height / width in VR. It is useful for when you are sitting down but want to appear full height, or for clipping through walls in certain games/areas. You can also use it to "climb" higher than normally possible in VR. People still refer to it as Playspace Mover, however it is now embedded in OVR Advanced Settings on Steam. Step 1: Select "Motion" setting. (See Left picture) Step 2: Select "Left Hand" or "Right Hand" (or both) under Space Drag. Step 3.5: OPTIONAL: If you want to move faster than default, select 2x or 3x speed. Step 4: Go back to the OVR Advanced Settings menu, and select "Bindings." Step 5: HIT THE BACK BUTTON IMMEDIETELY. I know this doesn't make sense, but I DID NOT PROGRAM THIS PROGRAM. You HAVE to hit BACK button FIRST. (See picture at the right.) Step 6: Scroll down to find settings appropriate to your headset, and click "Activate". I am on Index, so I use this one: "XENOX_lostcase's "For Index"" Settings. If you are on Quest, Vive, etc, you will have different options. If you are a Quest/Vive/etc user, please update this page with what it is called for those headsets. Step 7: Exit out of Steam Advanced Settings and now press a button (usually A or B), HOLD IT DOWN, and drag your controller up/down. Your body should now move up or down. Step 8: Step 9: Profit OVR Advanced Settings - MISC You can do all sorts of fun stuff with OVR Advanced settings. Here are some highlights! Chaperone - Set off a buzz, a vibration, or a menu opening when you get "too close" to things. It is NOT reliable though! Offsets - Manually move your character up/down/back/forth. (Click Reset here to set your settings back to 0 when playspacing!) Motion Settings > Gravity - Make it so instead you move permanently up/down/etc, it makes it so you can "jump" with gravity. Neat! Space Fix - If your face is in the ground, or if something just isnt lined up right, put one controller on the ground, and fix your space! Woo! Audio - Enable push to talk (doesnt work well), or changes audio input/output source for Steam. (For example, if you wanted to use a MOD mic instead of the headset mic.) Video - Darken or brighten your screen as well as RGB color offsets. Utilities - Visual Alarm clock / Virtual Keyboard / Media Player Controls Statistics - Cool stuff for nerds Bindings - Used to customize your controler / enable playspace mover Settings - Enable autostart
