Event Papitos

Congrats! You can host events whenever you like :D and use the bot!

Event Host Responsibilities

• If hosting an event seems intimidating, just know we protect our community so well and have so few issues. Really, an event host has to open the instance and be chill. If anything happens, you are not obligated to intervene if you don't feel comfortable. Just #Tell-Us-Things or #Support-Tickets! We'll be on it ASAP!

Before Event

• Charge your controllers!
• Show up on time / slightly before event start
• Create the group/group+/group public instance

IMPORTANT INFOS

• If you're going to be late, say so ASAP in #Events-Online
• If you can no longer host an event you created, ask for a replacement host 24 hours before the event, if possible. You can ask in #Event-Papitos or in #everything. If no one can cover for you, please cancel the event.
• If you continuously create events and "no call no show", your event host privileges may be revoked. Cancel it in the bot or find a new host. :3
• Papitos have to host at least 1 event per month. If you host less than 1 event per month, you will have your papito taken away. Please let us know if you'd like it back to host more events :D.
• If you don't want to host your event anymore... DONT! Don't burn yourself out. You can't pour from an empty cup. Take a break, host something else, whatever you need to do to stay happy! There is no shame in stopping your event. Feel free to cancel it in raid-bot, and let us know in #Event-Papitos.

During Event

• Greet people
• When everyone has gathered, try to give instruction for the event something like "Thanks for coming to the event, here's how we play this game: X, Y, Z! If you have any issues, please let me know or use #Tell_Us_Things or #Support_Tickets in the discord!"
• If someone is struggling, stop and help them. Never leave anyone behind.
• It's nice to take a group picture at some point too :3 Post it in #📔⟝vrc-album-9 (Or whichever album is current)
• Keep an eye out for sus behavior. Report anything even if its small, especially if they are new people!! Use #Tell_Us_Things if you're not a mod or #Emergent Meeting if you're a mod.

  • You will never ever get in trouble or get any backlash from reporting things. Reporting things is not rocking the boat. Hiding them is sinking it.

After Event

• If anything went wrong or was suspicious... please report it asap <3 #Tell-Us-Things or #Support-Tickets
• If things went well, let us know in #Event-Papitos how awesome your event went! :D
