Uploading a .Unitypackage Setup

Install Unity Hub / Creator Companion

  • Step 1: Download Unity Hub
  • Step 2: Update/Install Visual Basic
  • Step 3: Install Current Unity Version
  • Step 4: Install VRChat's Creator Companion
  • Step 5: In creator companion click Projects the top left, and click continue.
  • Step 6: Click create new project
  • Step 7: At the top make sure to click Avatars 2022 (Or latest version)
  • Step 8: Name your project and put it in a location with a lot of free space (10GB+)
  • Step 9: Click Create project

Get Unity Ready with GoGoLoco & Pumkins Avatar Tools

  • NOTE: if something pops up for 1 second but doesnt go, copy the .json Ex: "https://rurre.github.io/vpm/index.json", and add the repository manually, by clicking "add repository, paste the .json, and then continue"
  • Step 10: Go to https://gogoloco.net/ and click "Download using VCC".
  • Step 11: Click "Open With Creator COmpanion" at the top of the browser
  • Step 12: Click I understand, Add repository
  • Step 13: Go to https://rurre.github.io/vpm/ and click "Add to VCC"
  • Step 14: Go to https://vrcfury.com/download and click "Click here to add VRCFury to the VRChat Creator Companion"
  • Step 15: Go to https://www.poiyomi.com/download/ and scroll down to the ALCOM/Creator Companion section, hit Creator Companion, then Add to VCC
  • Step 16: Go back to projects
  • Step 17: hit manage project
  • Step 18: Find GogoLoco, Pumpkins Avatar Tools, Poiyomi, and VRCFury, click "Not installed" and then choose the latest version on all.
  • Step 19: Click Open Project at the top right

Get it into Unity

  • Step 21: Leave everything checked as default, and click Import
  • Step 22: Open the folder that was created until you get to a .prefab
  • Step 23: Drag the .prefab up the hierarchy under Directional Light
  • If your avatar is pink, you have to fix the shaders (See: Fixing Shaders)
