What is Garry's Mod?
Garry's Mod is a beloved physics sandbox game released in 2006 with a focus on user-created content. In the many years since its release, users have created a wide variety of content for the game that you can enjoy for free (not counting the cost of the game)! A world of fun and wacky adventures are a click away thanks to the Steam workshop integration.

The primary goal of this page is to provide instructions for joining the GMod event. Feel free to explore all the content GMod has available on your own!
Disclaimer & basic troubleshooting tips
GMod can be a very buggy game. There aren't many steps to get set up, but please follow the instructions closely! If you run into any issues that aren't described on this page and you're not sure what to do, here are some general steps you can take:
- Check the troubleshooting section of the wiki
- If your issue isn't listed on the troubleshooting section, reach out to LasagaKing on the MondoCat discord to describe your issue (DMs or ping, but pings might get missed). You may be able to resolve the issue together
- If the problem still persists, try using your search engine of choice to consult the internet
- If the internet doesn't provide an answer you may be out of luck. Hopefully it doesn't get to this point, but it's hard to predict what kinds of issues will pop up with an old game on a wide variety of hardware setups
