BE DAT STAFF
Wanna be the cause of happiness and love to the people around you? If yes, you may be interested in becoming staff! I'm protective of our little corner of the net, and to wield power and be the face of the community, you will need an exemplary track record in behavior, tact, and communication. This is not optional! If you are unsure of your status here, please fill out an application at #tell-us-things, and we can discuss where you stand and how you may be able to improve to reach this status, if not up to par.
Duties for all
- Staff are never responsible for anything they aren't comfortable with, and there will always be someone "above" them to consult with if shit hits the fan, or if they are uncomfortable.
- Acknowledges and respects Mission Statement
- Pays general attention to everything as a whole
- 100% open and honest communication and integrity is a must. No secrets, no manipulation, no games, no hidden resentment, ability to be mature and CALMLY talk about the hard stuff if needed.
- Has the ability to say "Hey, this isn't something I can deal with atm, can someone else take a look for me?" if things get too tough.
- Respects issues and tries to solve them even if its about yourself, your anxiety, paranoia, etc.
- Has the ability to know, recognize, and communicate your limits, which will 100% be respected.
- MUST report suspicious behavior / behavioral incidents to mod chat and #tell-us-things to be documented. If you do not feel comfortable reporting it on behalf of someone else, encourage them to make the ticket. <3
- This remains true, even if its about yourself, your anxiety, your paranoia, personally involved situations, etc.
- The ability to know, recognize, and communicate your limits, which will 100% be respected.
- Give people the benefit of the doubt. Assume non-malicious intent unless absolutely certain.
- "Discipline" tactfully and respectfully with love, knowledge, and forgiveness, not tough love or punishment. (Unless it becomes chronic, then maybe a little tough love ;3)
- ALWAYS EDUCATE WHEN DISCIPLINING. I cant fix a problem they don't know about and neither can they! Always tell them two things... 1.) WHAT they did wrong 2.) HOW they could have done it differently
- Admit your own mistakes. Own them. Work on it. Fix it. Become better. No shame. Forgive yourself. ❤️
- There are 2 sides to EVERY story, no matter HOW convincing the first one sounds. Be objective and play devils advocate for both sides.
- Agree to disagree on things
- You must remain impartial & neutral as much as possible when making decisions or disciplining
- Talk about a problem ASAP, dont wait for it to build up them explode. I think this is called the broken window theory. Plus like 10 small problems can build up to 1 LARGE one, so no problem is too small!
- Don't say the "S" Word
- If you need to step down or take a break, fucking DO IT. No shame in that.
- If you are idle for a month without prior notice, your staff position will be removed. You are welcome to reapply anytime when you get back. ❤️
- Server Subscriptions, All income from the server subs will go to operating costs. Any overage at the end of the year will be put to MondoCon costs.

2024 I would like to work on the following issues with all staff. Please be willing to help with these if you have time :D
- DDC Check ins with staff
- Behavior being reported promptly (in tickets), no matter how small
- Tasking being done / Server Advertisement

TLDR: How To Apply
- Please go to #Tell-Us-Things in the discord and fill out a ticket saying "Hey! I wanna apply for ___ position! Gimme that POWA!"
- You will go through an x days trial phase, checkups, and if good, then you get the spot long-term :D
In Depth Guide On How2Be Staff
Step 1
- ACTIVITY! Be active in discord primarily to get to know your fellow comrades! Join some events, maybe even hang out in VC!
- BE THAT AWESOME! Having a personality that is kind, patient, understanding, and tactfully non-confrontational that follows the rules is essential!
Step 2
- DO THAT THING! Whether it be host a one off event that could be come regular, help the newbies, spin up a game server! Whatever it is you wanna do, do it as far as you can right now :D
Step 3
- As you become more regular and normalized and familiar with most aspects of the server, let's talk about a spot for you in #tell-us-things!
Step 4
- Once you've earned that "JR" spot, let's continue to make sure everything goes great!

- If all is good beyond a shadow of ad oubt, then let's give you dat promotion :3
