Mission Statement

Our mission is to cultivate a community that celebrates courage by accepting that as human meat bags, mistakes are inevitable, not avoidable. We transform the mistakes into opportunities for learning and personal development, choosing open dialogue and promoting empathy and mutual understanding over punishment. Punishment is reserved for malice and people unwilling to learn and grow and compromise.

We value fostering an environment appreciating platonic and romantic love, and encourage a culture of respect for the individual by encouraging open communication of wants and needs in the moment between community-mates, and malicious behavior being reported immediately to the mod team in #Tell-Us-Things or #Support-Tickets channel, not in the DMs of mods/admins.

Community Expectations

  • Communicate Directly and Respectfully:

To foster healthy interactions, express your needs and concerns directly to the individuals involved, when they arise. Avoid holding grudges or seeking resolution through others who cannot directly address the situation. It takes two people's fuck up to have a miscommunication. One to communicate poorly, one to not ask clarifying questions, and neither following up.

  • Support and Protect Our Community:

Help maintain a safe environment by promptly reporting any instances of malicious behavior, whether from new or established members, via a ticket in the #Tell-Us-Things or #Support-Tickets channel.

  • Embrace Learning and Growth:

When mistakes occur, approach them as opportunities for learning and education, rather than resorting to punishment, belittlement, or refusing to come to compromise. We all should practice having open and respectful conversations with the people we have an issue with and help each other grow, instead of bring each other down.

  • Value Individuality and Equality:

Treat every member with respect, everyone has their thoughts and perspectives. Everyone can misinterpret things, miscommunicate, misunderstand, or even just be naive. TEACH each other, instead of get angry. Be receptive to being gentle teaching. Every story has two sides, try to hear each other out with love and understanding in your heart.

  • Promote Individual Responsibility:

Encourage and respect the autonomy of others and their ability to handle their own issues. If someone has an issue, they are responsible for addressing it directly to the proper party, whether that be the person they have an issue with, or #Tell-Us-Things or #Support-Tickets. Support your friends by hearing them out, holding their hand, but avoid speaking on behalf of others or intervening in their conflicts. This empowers our friends to resolve their own concerns, to be independent, and stand firmly on their own two feet.
